SFM Consulting provides Zoning, Building Code, and By-Laws services and enforcement in the Province of British Columbia, with a particular focus on By-Laws enactment and adoption.
SFM Consulting also works with top national experts and the scientific community to understand how land management practices can impact the environment and the climate, and to develop best practice land management, zoning, and provincial code and district by-law templates for communities to utilize. Priorities include preserving open space and wetlands, sustainably managing stormwater, promoting forests and wildland-urban interface, integrating natural landscapes into our communities, and promoting farming and local access to agriculture.
